I plan on making the front corner panels hinge open/close like a door; that's why it is left open in the pic. You always need something that is way in the front of the trailer.

Planning on making a full lid to cover.

The tailgate will fold down and can be removed if wanted/needed.

I am very happy how it has turned out. Of course, it will never be "finished"!

I wanna thank flyn2er for helping me with the build. He was the brains behind most of the design. I just cut, ground, and welded.
Thanks Tom!

Hoping to get rack built for a Cascadia Vehicle Tent to camp here on the "right coast'.

I want to have it set up with a CVT for the All-Breed Jeep show in York, Pa next month!!

It has been awhile since I posted any progress...well here it is! Recieved my CVT and it is mounted on my homemade trailer.
I am very pleased with how my set up is working.

I did start with the tent at a lower height; just enought room to access the trailer 'bed' with the tent on. I come to find out, that I could not stand up in/under the annex/changing room. I increaased the height and things work great. The trailer pulls well and I have no feelings of being top heavy. With that being said, I have not had it off road yet. This height gives me an unobstructed view thru my rear view mirror to see behind me while towing.

I want to say that my Mt. Hood from Cascadia Vehicle Tents is awesome! Great quality of this tent is great. It is easy to set up and take down. It does take some time to get the 'routine' down to put on the annex room; much easier with 2 people. I have the My Hood, which is a 4x6 closed and 4x8 open. Plenty of room for several people.
I would recommend any model of CVT tents to anyone!

I plan on using this combo several more times this year and will keep you up to date on any changes/improvements.

Here is what the tent/trailer looked like the first time around.
I liked it, but not high enough to stand straight up under changing room

Here's some more pics of the tent 'wrapped' for travel. Notice the higher rack.

Here's some more pics after I raised the height so as to be able to stand-up in annex room. I am 5ft 10in and left about and inch to spare. Everything is working good thus far.
