Dry Ice in My Norcold?

My Norcold is 'vintage' but works nominally. I'm wondering is if a small amount of dry ice might 'enhance' the efficiency to compensate for my models older design and specs?
Thinking about 'all day in camp' versus on the trail with engine running most of the day.
Thanks,

Dry ice wouldn't technically make it more efficient but would keep it from cycling on and off as much. As would covering it (except for the vents) with a sleeping bag and keeping it out of the sun.
Wrap the dry ice in a towel or something to protect items, including the cooler material from localized freezing/cracking.
If you think you are having problems with the cooling of the Norcold you might see if someplace can check the charge.
