    Thanks for the comments guys,

A little progress today. "bonk" beds, as my 3yo daughter calls them, are in...

That looks very good. How much weight do you think that thing is going to weigh when all
    is said and done?

    Thanks!,
As it sits now, it's around 500 pounds, according to some math. This seems about right, as I can still lift up the camper while standing under the over cab bed with the tail of the unit sitting on a support.

I'm going to go by the scales and have my truck weighed before and after. will report back with actual numbers.

I'm optimistic to keep it under 700 finished...we'll see...

How far does your cabover stick out, looks like >4' from that one pic with the sheet of plywood on it?
Where did you get the material for the popup section?

The cabover's outside dimensions are 80" wide by 61-1/2" long. It'll fit a short queen bed. it sticks just barely forward of the windshield of the truck.

Ordered the material from http://www.rochfordsupply.com . Would do business with them again.

Nothing too noteworthy unfortunately. Just today took the top off and window out. Sanded the body and started filling screw holes. Hopefully epoxy in the next few days.

I'm painfully aware that my updates have been slow in coming to say the least..... Here's something though... Bodywork is done, screw holes have been filled/sanded and 2 coats of epoxy have been applied. Once this coat hardens, I'll sand and paint...

Then it's on to the canvas

Got the first coat of paint on the camper body today. I'm happy with the way its turning out so far. Epoxy on the roof finally dried and I taped the joints before paint.
