SHOW YOUR FAVORITE CATCH ON THE FLY

Mosquito Lagoon Redfish

A tailing redfish, of course I was on the platform chasing him for my buddy Phil. I was exhausted, almost wished for a trolling motor, almost.

Buy your daughter a net so she doesn't have to drag her fish through the dirt. They deserve better.

Based off they photo of the fish sitting on a creel I'm guessing that one was for the dinner table. Let's not get too critical. I release 99.5% of what I catch but just because the fish has grass on it doesn't mean it was abused.

She has a net and knows how to use it! We sat the fish on the creel, but it flopped off into the pine needles when she was picking it up.

We C&R, me about 90%, but we also eat trout, and this one was dinner that night. This trout was caught in a stocked creek that is very healthy and well populated.

Bash on, but there is nothing wrong with eating the occasional trout!

Lol wow crazy....congrats to your daughter and I hope she continues to fly fish for many years to come. I figured that this fish was taken from a stocked fishery so fish on.....

Water was lower than normal and took awhile to find the fish,

nice job crapping on what was a nice picture/post

I hope I did crap on it. Because someone who reads this thread may walk away and think "hey, if I'm going to take a hero shot, I should treat the fish properly, especially if I put it back!" Maybe they'll learn the proper way to treat a trout.

I will call it out every time.
