    Wow!! talk about eye candy!!

  2. Outside the Unicat factory a range of their vehicles are parked. Some are simply in storage. Although Unicat is not involved in selling second hand expedition vehicles, some of these Unicats are for sale but directly from the owners. For example the brown MAN from an English owner: only 20.000 km with a later installed full automatic gear box of over € 40.000 ($ 50.000). The almost new truck is for sale because the owner's wife is seriously ill. It costs over € 300.000 ($ 377.000). Sleeps two.

Many thanks to Mr. Bernhard Söllner from Unicat for great hospitality and permission to make these pictures.

It must of been a great day! the changing market is interesting it shows where the money is.

  5. Obviously Unicat has found a new market. Very rich people who live in a part of the world where it makes sense to have a sophisticated expedition vehicle. One customer even came to the factory by helicopter. It is also interesting that Unicat continues to be one of the few exclusive builders of excellent expedition vehicles. Not in Russia and not in China they are able yet to build this kind of high quality vehicles.

Thank you for the report on your visit.

It is interesting to hear how their market has changed. Good to hear that they are staying busy.

Now that is something that I really like (reminds me of the poorly named "Maximog" but without giving up the capability). A van body Unimog is on my wish list.

It's not about the truck and it is not about the distance traveled. Get out there with whatever you have, meet people and see things. Push the envelope of your comfort zone and live.
