Default Making ice cream while camping

Anyone used the Play and Freeze Ice Cream ball either at home or more importantly while camping?

Have done the ice, rocksalt in ziplock bags and cream, milk and flavoring in another bag inside. It sort of worked but I reckon the ball would be a lot easier to handle thus making it easier to mix.

Would be a great treat for the kids while camping to make their own ice cream

Does switching the Engel to 'Freeze' count as cheating?

That apart, I know someone that uses those Play and Freeze devices and he loves them (and the ice cream they make)!

We did it once on the Rubicon. It works well, but takes a while.
