I like that set up! Are they half spot half spread?

    Hi FG4OZ

Yep but that's a mater of opinion to I guess isn't it. It was what the owner supplied.

    Hi Alan

Haven't yet even though we looked at them way before they hit the market.....I think it was early 2009 or earlier... the price was always out of the ballpark. I think they'd be great on a truck where the typical speeds are down on what a car would be and therefore distance isn't as important clarity...... I'd love to have a play. I'll send you a PM.. Thanks.

They were certainly popular at Overland ExPo . Here's some pics.

Note the LED round headlights too. Alan....do you know about these?? The first Jeep above in the pics had them too. I'll post some close ups in a minute.

These are Rigid's . Plenty of these there.

Must have a big charging system on this BM!!

Lots of trucks had them all round as general work lighting.

You could write a book about the technology in this truck......but anyway the lights were amazing. They just looked like standard remote pan/tilt floodlights like you'd find on a powerboat ( the black lights mounted up on the front peak) but they were fitted with FLIR cameras and there was an LCD monitor built into the rear mirror. Any wildlife just lights up at night.....even footprints!! These are still under development but might well be on the market one day.

Just fitted some HID kits to the headlights of my little car. Only 35w but very impressed particularly on low beam. Some of the Canters we build for the mines are required to have HID's headlights and they seem to work pretty well too.
