My M416 was spotted next to my garage when it burned. It had some decent damage, lights/wiring/lid/battery box/paint/etc.

(luckily my RTT was in staorage and not on the trailer!!)

My insurance company covered it under 'home owners/outlying structures' (outlying structure becuase it was the garage that burnt)

Not being able to find a true value, they rated it as a 'Utility trailer', and gave me the max amount, of $1500.

Having a 'Stated value' policy is probably the way to go, had my tent been on top, or the trailer totaled, no way that $1500 would have covered it.

Wow man, that sucks. The good thing, it is very unique and I for one can spot these things stock a mile away...so I am certain can the thousands of others on this site. Hopefully someone spots it.

My trailer has declared value insurance on it. For now in stock form it has been insured for $3000.00. They are happy to do so as you pay more for the higher price. They are rare, so I dont thin ICBC will have a problem with that. I am toying with the idea of having it insured as an RV when I am done with it. Not sure what the process is to get a Utility Trailer converted to an RV...besides an inspection etc?

Hope that this works out and you get your trailer back asap!

Default A punch in the face...

If I happen to see it around SoCal I'll be sure to punch the a$$hole in the face for you. I hope you get it back. It looks like you've put a lot of work into it.

That might leave a mark. Avoid that possibility. Knuckle rap them in the side of the head. Hurts and harder to see any marks.

Ditto, but I will do so in Nebraska.

FYI- I recently insured my trailer for 3k. It is going to cost me a whopping $56 a year.
