Default Part Needed: 04 Disco Expansion Tank

My buddy just blew out the expansion tank. From what I can see it spilt down a seam. Are these plastic tanks under pressure?

Anybody with a spare, spare tank or a good source would be appreciated.

They are only $70 at Atlantic British and other places online and are not necessarily something I would buy used, as they are known to heat stress and leak. At least your buddy should be hoping that's what happened, as they are only under the 15 PSI the pressure cap holds. I would change the cap as well at the same time.

The other alternative explanation is a rapid pressurization of the cooling system that the cap could not vent in time. That will cost significantly more than $70 in parts to repair.

I bought my replacement 2 years ago from Atlantic British after the plastic nipple broke off. I purchased a used one previous to that which failed after a few months

THANK YOU. They were great and should have it tomorrow.
