Much appreciated guys. Irish - Here in NC it is the heat, not the cold... but I am still of the mind to sell the hard top.

Squint, thanks for the comments - I am eagerly watching your soft top thread waiting for you to announce that you are now selling them :-) put me on the list.

Seat risers came in yesterday. Hope to get them in soon, like tonight or this weekend at the latest.

My 06 has the OME lift, 1.25 body lift, tummy tuck and 33 10.50 all terrains. We do exploring and some days
don't use much 4WD, when we do hit gnarly stuff it goes anywhere I want to go and I run with guys on 35's with
lots more lift. I decided not to get too carried away with the armor to hold down on the weight.

Welcome to the LJ club! I have an 06 but a non-rubi. The wheel base seems to be the perfect length and once you get the belly up a little you are good to go!

Hey thanks for the welcome guys. I feel at home in it already.

Got the seat risers in last night and just like in my previous jeeps of this era, it makes all the difference in the world.

Going to try and get the belly up and the engine skid done this weekend.

Looking at front bumpers... definitely need something that will protect teh front of the jeep with a brush guard, due to working in our woods.

Ordered front bumper today. The rear that came on it was a Big Daddy Offroad. I could not find a BDO with a brush guard, but went ahead and ordered this anyway:

Looks like I will have to put my new found welding "skills" to work on the brush guard part. In time anyway.

I cleaned, primed and painted the belly up skid today. Did not get to mount it, but it was so stinkin hot, I called it at about 1030 this morning.

Still looking at lifts. Definetly looking at progressive springs, 2 - 2.5", maybe 3 at most. Staying at 31's for drivability, fuel economy, towing, at least for now.

Only 24k miles on her, might I ask how much you paid? You may reply by PM if you wish. I am starting my search for an LJ Rubicon.

    Default Locker Pump relocation

While cleaning and repainting the xfer case skid I am going to mount on the LJ, I remembered I'll need to (or want to) relocate the locker pumps. On my 2003 i successfully relocated them to the inner fenderwell. Only issue is that it was not great work on my part. I am interested this time in trying to make it neater adn more well thought out.

Does anyone know of a good write up on line? Specific questions are in regard to wiring. Last time I just took the wire that connected to the pumps and extended them from the xfer ccase skid location and wired from there up to the inner fender well. This time I would like to pick up the wires at the firewall and run them from there directly to the pumps when relocated. Does that make sense? I just do not know how to find the right wires in that location.
