    My child booster seat instruction sheet says to not use boosters with just lap belts, as the purpose of the booster is to keep the shoulder belt off of your kid's neck/face. With just lap belts, the booster is neither needed nor wanted.

    However, if you were installing forward facing child seats with an integrated harness, that's a different story.

    You can always run a tie-down or cinch strap around the back of the seat and the child seat. 'Done this several times too.
