Somehow I thought you were looking at hard sided campers, not sure where I got that idea.

currently in a f250, initial research seems the ute is the way to go, but they are spendy...my wife is very low maintenace and enjoys the the outdoors as much as I , but the bath will make it that much more enjoyable for her....but that damn rear door...I am 6'-3" and fear that door.
Just like everything else in life, you get used to it (the door) pretty quick. It's really no worse than getting into your average tent.

all we truly need is a wet bath, queen bed (north & south) ice box, stove. dinette for 2, in a 8' floor, for 3/4 ton sb, is it not possible??
We have a 2011 Outfitter pop-up truck camper. It has a wet bath with shower and a cassette toilet. It has a 7.5 cubic foot NovaKool refrigerator/freezer. Queen bed with north/south sleeping arrangement. three burner stove, double sink, microwave, inverter with 200 watts of solar, a/c, gas furnace, and water heater. It also has a dinette table with two seats. It carries 60 gallons of fresh water. It is an 8 foot camp and I carry it in a long bed one ton Chevy pick up.
We also shopped Hallmark and Northstar. They also are fully equipped. We just liked the Outfitter better than the others. All three are nice campers. These are the high end of the pop-up truck campers. All go well into the 20's new. Used ones don't turn up very often.
We have used ours a bunch, and it camps very well.

I know Rob has done a full height door, but has lots of good reasons to avoid doing it again.....
A ship in a harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for.....
Look into Northstar as well. The are a high quality camper with any of the ammenities you want, or don't want. They are not as pricey as Hallmark, either. I cannot say enough good things about their customer service!
