Painting a drawer unit?

I'm curious to what others have used to paint their homemade drawer systems. I finally modified the Truck Vault that someone gave me to fit in the back of my van. Now I'm considering bedliner or a heavy textured paint to protect the exterior from moisture. Any suggestions on what has worked well?

I used Ducan Deck Coat.....grey white or beige..... Nice texture and like liquid vinyl
