    Default Converting 97 Dodge B2500 to 4x4

I have a 97 2wd B2500 conversion van that I want to have converted to 4X4. I do not have the facilities, tools or skill to do this job. I am located in Columbia, Sc and am looking for recommended shops to do the job. I don't mind travelling to drop it off or shipping it if necessary. The main requirement, is that it be absolutely roadworthy after the conversion. I am retiring soon and want to be able to travel and explore this great country. Any assistance is appreciated.

Boulder Offroad is the only place I see that mentions converting Dodge vans. Most places do Ford, and a few do Chevys, but Dodge vans (not Sprinters) have been out of production for awhile, and therefore most shops wouldn't specialize in them.
It's better to regret the things you've done, than the things you haven't.

Any conversion on a Dodge will be custom. For that reason, I would suggest selling the Dodge and buying a Ford and having http://www.ujointoffroad.com/ do the conversion or a shop they recommend do the conversion.

That is kind of what I had found in my research. Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the recommendation! It will be difficult with the Dodge, and all custom like you said. Does it have a frame? If you get a Ford I'm right up the road in Asheville!
