Rustoleum paint jobs

Back in 2007, I got tired of looking at the peeling clearcoat on the hood of my 91 GVR4 and hit it with flat black Rustoleum.

Turned out nice enough that, after I used the car to bend a Kia in half at the B-pillar (he ran a red left turn light in front of me), I just decided there was no point in popping for a fancy paint job. Asked for a $25 case of "rustoleum" flat black off Amazon for my birthday. Turned out decent enough. 195/2000 is a "six-footer" at best, but dings and dents are the least of my worries.

Completed front end repairs on the car in September 2008.

Hasn't been out much since then; has a nice, dusty patina to it, but I'm getting so sick of the peeling clearcoat (and glare) on the hood of my 89 Pajero, I've no qualms about tracking down some no-name flat black rattle can for it, too.

Garage cleanup, May 2012.
