Default Roof basket w tire mount, hi-lift mount, - etc attach to existing crossbars

FS roof basket. It is very lightweight, I'd guess maybe 30 pounds or less, and already has built in:

    -- Spare tire mount
    -- hi-lift mount
    -- shovel/axe/whatever mount
-- 4 light tabs on front
-- 2 light tabs on back

It mounts onto either the stock crossbars or I had Yakima bars (may need a little "hammer massage"). I was planning to put my spare up there but I've changed my mind on that. (See my thread on the topic)

Hm, sorry for the late response, I didn't realize the Forum only sends email notifications of PMs and not thread updates. :-( I will have to measure & get back to you, my estimate would be about 42" across (it's not quite as wide as my 48" Yakima bars, couple of inches on either side when centered) and probably 48"-52" long.

Not homemade, I've seen pics of another member on here in CA with the exact same rack. If it's what I think, it was made by some company named something like Zacatas or similar.

I have a set of stock XJ crossbars I will throw in for anyone who buys the rack & wants them. (I'll also sell them separately)

I'm open to trades for: adjustable front control arms, adjustable bump stops, SYE kit, gas tank skid. Or a nice Roc n Soc drum throne, I really need one.

If I come to the SE Overland Rally in 3 weeks I will probably have this on the XJ, if anyone wants to see before buying. If it doesn't sell before then, that is.

After some serious searching, I found the manufacturer of this rack - it is a Zacatal rack, and apparently was aimed at ZJs when originally sold. It measures 50" x 44" outside, not counting light tabs or various mount brackets sticking out.

    Hey John,

I'm in Durham, except for when I can make a temporary escape to the mountains. ;-)
