Default Going rate for blitz cans?

I'm sure it's around on the forum somewhere ... I know Scepter's are hovering around the $75 mark.

Anyway, just picked up a Blitz Jerry can from Craigslist yesterday for $40. Mostly intact paint, touches of rust on the outside and trace amounts on the inside. Haven't filled to check for leaks yet. Manufacturer sticker from 1980 still intact on the bottom - if it matters it has "US" embossed on the side, not "Blitz." Guy even threw in the nozzle (though it's a bit rusty).

Just wanted to know what the street price is for those? I see Amazon has them for $40 also, but that's the carb version.

    Thanks!

I just picked up 5 non carb blitz can for $5.00 apiece at a local garage sale...also bought a new one last year for 75.00 off CL...so I guess the easy answer from me is anywhere between $5 and 75

They may be going up in value since Blitz is being forced out of business due to frivolous law suits.

Found one in a barn yesterday, but passed on 5 for $40 on CL since 4 had rust inside. Prolly shoulda bought them, but they seem to be 20 or 25 in good shape.

The scepters I found were 150 bucks each and that is why I don't have any. I did find some Crown 5 gal jerry cans that have built in funnels and metal caps for about 50 bucks each.

Put some feelers out. I just got a free one from a barn. Guy said it was there for years. No rust except outside.
