Default Using Rear Air Compressor for on-board air?

I recently switched out my air bags on the GX470 for coils. This means I have a perfectly good compressor already installed in my truck. I am wondering if anyone has used this to run an on-board air system? I am thinking with the addition of a small tank, this could be a sweet setup. Any suggestions?

i guess it would depend on how much psi it can push out. also i dont think those compressors was made to run for long periods of time so it might not make a good tire compressor.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking the same thing, but wonder if I used a tank with it and just had the compressor filling the tank?

I do not know yet. It did have to raise the truck with load on the rear. I do not know if that required a heavy duty or not. I guess I can pull it and see if it says it on the compressor. I could alway pull it and put my current compressor in its place. I would just need to check and make sure it is water proof.
