I used a Lowrance GPS with my Kenwood TH-D7A walkie talkie for APRS use.
Had to solder up my own cable however.

ps: If you could find a used Kenwood TH-D72 , that would be everything you need (built in GPS) to get a list of nearby of nearby hams on the radio screen.
You can also make that radio talk to software like APRSIS32 running on your laptop to give you a neat view of you and other stuff on a map.
