Looking for suppliers of quality tarps...
Any recommendations...canvas or other materials...
Looking for a backpacking and truck version...
I rented a really nice one from a local manufacturer when canoeing the BWCA last fall in MN but lost the manufacturers name...think they were local in Ely, MN
Thanks
Matt

Yeah, I'll second, I'm looking for one too!

I used to have Moss and then MSR Parawings and Outfitterwings, well designed, well made used polyester rather than coated nylon so they didn't stretch when wet.

Does someone make something as good?

Oh, if you have a Parawing or Outfitterwing, that you don't need, let me know

I used tarpsnow.com. Wide variety of materials and fabric weight and customizable sizing and grommet placement. Lots of others out there but I like what I saw when searching the interwebs for my tarps.

If you're looking for a shelter tarp, these are the best. They are quite proud of them and want a lot of $$. They're coated in silicone and stretch, but don't sag. Easy to set up off of trees, or anything handy. They come with lines at 6 points so you can adapt to a lot of conditions. They can handle being a little too close to the campfire too.
