    Default AAL or OME pack

I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for. My Tacoma is a daily driven vehicle that I plan to do plenty of truck camping and get into overland. I am trying to figure out the pros and cons of going aal or full leaf pack. I could use some insight from the more experienced please.

    Thanks

Go with a full spring pack unless you're on a very tight budget. Better ride quality and longevity.

Consider the ramifications of getting an AAL for $77.50 and saying, oh ****, I wish I would have just gone with the OME full leaf pack.

I've had Wheeler's AAL since 2007. Comfy, not stiff or bouncy. A little lift and easily carts around 800lbs in the bed. Still sitting at the same ride height since inception. And this on the sucky pre-recall springs.

Get the AAL. If you don't like it, and you will, what have you lost?

Big deal. Better than having a set of OE springs cluttering your garage you don't want to toss because they are perfectly good.

Rather recent pic (sucky OE springs w/AAL):

When I get my Dakar springs, I'm planning to use my OEM springs for a trailer.

I'm actually thinking of taking my bed off my 81 and having a frame fabbed using these springs.

OME Dakars with the extra leaf. Fix it right the first time.
