    Default Cooper A/T3 tires...?

Anyone using these on their FJ 60/62?

Got a good review in the latest OJ and a local dealer is offering a $75 rebate on a set of 4 til November.

Mostly on pavement with some dirt and trail usage, don't need anything too aggressive and I'd be running them in the 235x75/15 size.

    Thanks
    John E.

    Default Hmmm...

well it seems that these aren't a real popular tire round these parts.

I can't advise about that model personally, but I like the cooper brand. Those seem like a good AT tire to me. I just replaced my zeon ltz's with some ST maxx's. The zeons were great in life (50k), traction and quality. I pondered the at3's, but decided to go more aggressive. I don't think you can wrong with cooper.

    Just saw the thread,,,

I put 275-70-17 Disco AT3's on the Tacoma in march,,, they have 17,000 miles on em now , and tread when I had em rotated yesterday is @ 14/32's. mostly highway miles on my daily driver. Handled great @ Overland expo, aired down to 20 psi, crawled the obstacle course great, and some steep rocky scruffy stuff during one of the classes.

So far,, loving them, just wish they made a 255-85-16

    Good Luck,

    Wade

We are running the the ST/MAXX as well and so far have been very pleased with them. Although we've only have put less than 2,000 miles on them, they've been extremely quiet, well highway manored and haven't let us down in the back country yet. We run them on our truck and trailer as well. These tires have a very strong sidewall and our tire shop barely could get them to stretch to mount on the wheel. This combined with being a E-rated heavy load tire, im sure we will continue to be pleased. The only complaint i've heard thus far is that mud packs up in them easily. However, they unlodge very quickly too.

I've got a set on my 99 4Runner. 265/75-16. Love them - quiet, smooth riding, look good.. I'd definitely recommend.

I have them on my 97 4Runner and they're wearing great. They hold the road good in rain and grip well in dirt. I haven't tried them in mud, but in gerneal trail riding they're solid. I bought mine as blems for $500/4. (265/75/16LT's)

235/85/16 on the beast. Seem to be a great deal for what you get. 5k or so off road, thur ut/az/co and thru the general four corners area. They do a great job and the E rated pizza cutters are really much better than the past bfg at's 265/75's in the general sense......which was very surprising. i'd go for it, especially on the skinny pricing....they are a fraction of the cost of the bfg/hankook mt's etc. and they have a huge mileage warranty.

review the cost of the 265/75 vs the 235/85.....easy choice for the same result.
