I found these pictures when I did a M416A1 search on the web
Listed on the G838 website and dated Feb 28 2012 Stacked in a
warehouse in the Netherlands.

Could make alot of people happy with those.

Apparently they came from a US Depot? What a shame these got out of the country. I could have imagined one heck of a group buy! Shipping from the Netherlands would be a b!^(#

I never understood why we give our old stuff away to other nations or sell it off to them so cheaply

Humm, there's a chance I'll be importing a Hilux from the Netherlands to Ethiopia. Could you provide the link. Who knows, maybe we could set up a container full of them to the US and one for me.

Every military has what the Brits call war surplus. These are equipment that is bought and stored often for decades for use in the event of conflict.
Europe's history being one of conflict its not surprising to see these pics. A few years ago it was the old military jeeps.

I don't have a problem with the US selling them overseas. Even if the government could have shipped them home in a medium flat rate box they would have still lost money selling them to Government Liquidations.

Even if GL sells a trailer for $500, they probably paid less than $20 for it. I bought a truck from GL for around $3000, GL paid $170 for it.
