I just got an email regarding this. What do we do? Boycott?
My favorite beer company doesn't want to wheel Utah....

new belgium has some great beers. i miss them. plus available in camping friendly cans. :(

don't just boycott. send them a note...let them know why you're boycotting and that you are hounding all your friends, family, coworkers, etc not to purchase their products. i hit a bunch of their facebook websites also. with all the commotion people have caused, camp chef has requested their name be removed from the petition :victory: hopefully, they rescind ALL support for this measure. some companies have outright stated they are against ohv use, so they're a bit of a lost cause, but i find it hard to believe that companies like redwing (who gets a lot of business from logging/oil related industries) are aware of what they signed on to.

I agree with protecting the Canyonlands, but I'm concerned about this portion of the letter:
"Federal land use plans inappropriately open scenic and undeveloped land to drilling and mining and fail to address exploding off-road vehicle use that is damaging riparian areas, cultural sites, soils and solitude."

I can understand the importance of treading lightly, but I think such a broad statement as this endangers anyone looking to explore the lands with their vehicles, even on established trails.
