Got an early Christmas present a few weeks back, an M416 off of eBay. When I picked it up I was going to clean it up, take care of a couple of rust spots, a put a little bit of paint on it. Next thing I knew it was in pieces in the garage. Scraped, sanded, and wire brushed everything. The metal is tough of nails, held up great for 46 years, most of the rust came right off. Finished up the painting a few days ago. Getting ready to tackle the inside with some Chassis Saver and bedliner. I'm going to make a drop in plywood floor so I can mount tie downs and whatever without putting holes through the sheetmetal. I liked the hitch extenstion that daninghram did and is now on my todo list. I'm going to use a canvas cover to keep some of that bad-*** military look...
