How about a 2005 to 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK)with V8 and either the QT2 or QD2 ( electronic fr/rr lockers)? Both 4x4 systems have a 4lo.
Does not have the mystique of the Land Cruiser, but in the North America market it is a very capable vehicle.
Throw an OME HD lift, armor, and a good set of AT tires and the WK will work.
I have a 2008 diesel version and it is more than capable. I would think about switching only if I was headed to Africa or Australia....and even then it would be a tough call, because I think it could handle both.
There are a number of guys wheeling their WKs in Australia and South Africa will a lot of success.
