coleman coffee maker upgrade

i have the original Coleman coffee maker that sit over the stove


i want to replace the glass pot with this can i do it

That's a good upgrade I always worry about breaking the glass on mine. If it fits it should work do you have any measurements on it?

as of now i have no clue it looks like it will fit from the picture and coleman is less than helpful

I found it on Amazon and the 4 people that reviewed it said it replaced the glass carafe without a problem.

The only real concern is the little doohickie (don't you love that technical term?) that the pot presses up against to release the liquid from the filter area and into the pot. As long as the new pot will press against that, it should work. I have the same coffee maker and the cheap pot that came with it broke the first time I used it (not the glass but the metal band that holds the handle on).

I would just make sure to buy the pot from a source that has an easy return policy and try it out.
