M116A2 trailer camper build

I have been wanting to do this for some time with the intention of having a multi purpose trailer. I need one time to time for work and want to get out of tents and off the ground for camping. Also something for longer fishing trips capable of places most pull behind campers don't usually find themselves.

Does anyone else have issues posting photos here? I use an Acer iconia a500 tablet primarily and I have only been given the option to manage images twice. Otherwise my only option is to post a quick reply without any image options. When I choose to leave mobile version to full site I have the option, I choose my photo from a desired file and I get no option to upload my invisible selection. Is it an android thing?

I'm not sure what operating system the Acer a500 uses, but depending on it's browser support you may need to use the full reply (blue button labeled Reply to Thread) in order to upload photos rather than the quick reply.

I've moved this thread to the Expedition Trailers forum where you'll likely get a much better response.

Thanks for the suggestions. I hit the blue reply to thread option and nothin. This is frustrating. I can try photobucket when I have a chance. Thank you for moving it Chazz, I'm new to this. I usually just read and learn from forums. I can try to get that done by this weekend. Work has been picking up

The hail damaged roof vents were covered to keep water from leaking in so that was good. Now I need to decide what I want to use as its new skin and roof. Any suggestions? Once removed I can see what (if any) insulation is inside and add accordingly or redo. Have any of you redone your camper siding and roofing? I have only done houses etc, not campers. Any tricks and tips would be much appreciated. Adhesives, drip edge reusing vs new, aluminum vs fiberglass and proper ways to attach.

Pulling it is kind of embarrassing as is. I picked up some new but damaged fiberglass from an RV place for $50. I think i can get the front, back and one side covered. Then finish the remaining side and roof from more. Also found a good deal on new windows that were for a recall and never used for a killer deal. The camper may just end up on the truck and the truck box on the trailer when camping. The camper is only 710 lbs but I would be paranoid on a trail with the rocking. Might just be in my head though. A RTT is the way to go I think for these trailers

So, I have had no time to work on this hillbilly homestead trailer. Working too much and when I have time off its wet or snowing. One thought I had was to sell the camper before I get too much money into it and throw side utility boxes on the trailer. Build steel walls around the boxes to bring the sides up to pickup bed height, with, length and stick a utility topper on it. Resulting in a lighter, lower COG, more secure unit that I can use for work. As is my trailer is unusable with the camper on it. The utility topper would be much easier to remove when I needed a flatbed trailer. I don't know if that makes any sense. Any thoughts?

Brought it home
yqeba6ad.jpg

Herculined the deck
ybahegaq.jpg

Added a tongue box and temp walls
ze2y6yve.jpg

Made the 3 piece tailgate for the camper (that I sold)
u7ubugub.jpg

Built sides
7emugaga.jpg

Added a small crane to help if I forget ramps for work (functions well with the weird tailgate)

Now I just need to build removable racks for steel/kayak/lumber with receiver hitches, paint undercarriage, and maybe put a Dexter axle on it. In front of both wheel wells I added receiver hitches for things like the smoker/BBQ I made out of an 11ga pipe
