    Default 4.0 1GR-FE Internals

Ok I've searched everywhere. Does anybody know what the internals of the 4.0 engine are. Is it forged rods, pistons and crank? Whats everything made of.

    I found this

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_GR_engine#1GR-FE

It tells me a little bit, but I would like to know whats really in the engine.

Add since I know you are doing a bunch of performance mods: If you really want to know details on the motor, maybe consider sending a very nice message to Gadget (http://www.gadgetonline.com/ - he isn't a member of ExPo, but is very active on www.customtacos.com). He is involved with Underdog Racing Development (www.urdusa.com) and is considered by many to be one of the very best in North America for high performance Toyota truck engine modifications.

    Thanks Pete

I came across that thread last night on tundra solutions. I did allot of searching for information before I posted. I thought it was very helpful until I started finding other post and various websites that contradicted that thread. I will contact Gadget and see what he says.

Great information, thanks for posting them!
Other than TRD SC do you plan to do anything to the engine?

I've done long tube headers and a AFE cold air intake, URD MAF/MAP calibrator and an URD 02 simulator are still to come after the SC.
