I've seen a bunch of Google Sketchup drawings here. Personally, I've used Catia and Grape's GBW32 - but not for designing trucks.

Autocad, Sketchup, Inventor 2013 Pro...

Sketchup was purchased by Trimble recently. Its still free for the time being... and probably the best free option.

Inventor is the best, but too expensive. Catia blows, I'm forced to use it at work

wow you all bow me away i surely do suck in my abilities i use visio for just about everything

I use Visio for everything too, although I've been meaning to learn SketchUp to make 3D a little easier. Here are a few Visio drawings/edited photos from my current fiberglass trailer kit project, Visio is pretty capable:

Did this with Google/Trimble Sketch up. If you sign up with AutoDesk, you can get their software for free. I use Autodesk as well, but it has a steep learning curve.
