    Default Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

    I searched around and didnt see a showcase thread for us toy guys but decided we could do something similar to the expo rigs in general chit chat but just our toyotas.

    so post up, mods multiple pics and interior pics if you have some interesting cargo/sleeping platforms or whatever else you may have done.

    could be a one thread inspiration for a lot of other guys who own the same trucks.

    lets seem em!

    Quick out line:

    86 4Runner.

    Rebuilt engine
    Rebuilt transmission.
    4.88 factory front from a 92 with 31 inch tire option
    4.88 Yukons on a 97 E-locker for the rear
    33x12.5 BFG AT's
    Lift: none
    TJ rear coil mod to fix sag.
    Custom build storage drawer/sleeping platform
    Flimsy plastic cargo area panels replaced with powder coated plate aluminum with Access hatches for fender storage.
    Uniden CB in dash under Sony stereo.


    Future upgrades:
    Make bumper that will Mount Warn HS9500i that is living under work bench.
    Marlin Crawler (doner X-Case under bench next to winch)
    Sliders
    Rear axle torque arm to control axle wrap
    buy/build roof rack to carry sand ladders, shovels, HiLift
    Build new bumper with tire carrier for matching size spare
    Mount 170ah AUX battery in stock spare tire location and wire dual battery system to power Home made 12v fridge (that will pull 14f)


    Possible upgrades:
    Looking at the possibility of building a new dash to hold laptop on a slide for Navigation and Internet access.

    Possibly build a Wildernest style top out of spare top I have

    i love this truck not many mods yet but i am working to get the money for a OME lift
    1994 4Runner 5sp
    4 KC Daylighters
    CB Radio
    Flowmaste super 40 muffler
    Generator
    Just the Beginning.....

    Mine:

    Then:'84 SR5; 5-Speed; Standard Cab/Bed; 197k


    Middle:Same truck, shattier front bumper using the stock mounts


    Now:Same truck, same shatty bumper, new paint. (ain't rattle can paint jobs great? touch ups are a breeze!)




    Future mods:
    Rebuilt front bumper based off of 2x4 rectangular tubing
    Rear Bumper with 2x4 Channel iron
    Crawler Cut the rear quarter panel.
    Smallest mud flaps money can buy to make me legal.
    Spare tire/hi-lift/spare fuel swing out carrier off of bumper.
    LOTS of lockable in-bed storage containers
    31x10.50 Truxs MT on 15" aluminums
    M8000 by warn in at least one place.

    First post here. All these pics throughout the board make me want to pack up and head out on the road again. Guess that's what it's all about.

    Just dropped a 3.4 into the 4Runner so the longer trips will be much more enjoyable.

    Although seeing all these nice Tacomas, it may be time to get a second vehicle and convert this 4Runner to full on trail.
