Fuso FG steering stabilizer

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a steering stabilizer for a Fuso/Canter FG.
Not so much now, but when I originally installed my BFG's, heavy braking was like re-entering the earth's atmosphere.
As such, I used the engine brake for the first couple of months, as it seemed to calm the truck down quite a bit.
Now, with about 12K miles on the tires, all is good again. Smooth as silk.
Sooner or later, though, it will be time again for new tires.
Anyone have anything, let me know.:smiley_drive:

Thanks !

The tough dog RTC damper is the go
although Ski freaks install was done by ATW as part of his suspension upgrade

I installed the same damper on my fg using a bracket i whipped up from some 10mm steel flat bar and some inventive gusseting
if your interested ill try to dig up and send you the pics i took while building it
basically it bolts onto the radiator lower support cross member as the fixed point and u bolts to the steering arm on the other
bescause the force is lateral their is no extra stress on the crossmember

As Stu has stated, the RTC damper was part of my suspension mods. That said... I am pretty sure that the brackets on my damper are off the shelf ones from Tough Dog.
The link I gave shows different brackets than are on my truck, but other brackets are definitely available.

How did you decide which size/part# unit to go with ?
I noticed that the Fuso/Canter FG is not listed in the Tough Dog application chart.
As for brackets, I'll just rely on "inventive gusseting" as well.
If you have the pics, I would definitely like to see them.
Thanks

ATW were obviously advised that the Xtreme RTC Stabiliser was the model to use, as this is what they fit in their workshops.
John may be able to give some more insight on the decision making process.

Yves ....We fit them to reduce any bumpsteer associated with the panhard rod as fitted to our coil suspension. They are very common here as an after market modification to most popular coil sprung small 4wd cars eg. Nissan Patrols and Landcruisers

I used the tough dog end bracket welded to a length of 10mm (3/8) flat bar

I also used the tough dog steering damper but the larger adjustable unit.
