Sleeping Inside a SIIa 88 Land Rover

Heya Everyone!

I have a '63 SIIa 88 LR. I have been playing around with various ideas for creating a fold-out sleeping platform that could be used inside a SIIa 88. Then a thought entered the 'ol noggin - maybe someone else has done this.

So - have any of you come up with a sleeping type platform that will fit inside a Series 88? If so, I'd love to see some pics and know what you came up with.

I'll be watching this one, I have a '64 SIIa and used to think about how to do this. Great head-room, so you can do some sort of folding platform from the front to the back and leave one side open for wiggle room and equipment.

Would a sturdy drawer that extends out to become a platform work in a SIIa?

Initially I had thought about a fold-out type setup for mine too, however I concluded it would've required removing more gear & supplies from the vehicle to deploy it, so I came up with this idea instead.

Do like my dad with his in Africa- took the passenger seat out and had it set up so he could sleep in it so he didn't have to travel after dark. Not so great if you have passengers though.
