This is a little project I did to protect the valve on top of one of my small propane cylinders. I built the guard due to a scary incident I had several years ago with valve that got knocked open....
I used 1/2 x1/8 inch steel bar and formed it around the top of the cylinder collar and then bent and welded the top guards to the ring. The guard was painted red and bolted to the cylinder collar.
Once the cylinder is set in its carrier the valve is protected from items that always seems to get set on top of it while traveling down bumpy roads.
