best awning fabric ?

I looked all over the site for this ....

I`m looking for a typical foxwing shaped awning ....

after doing lots of search , I noticed two main fabrics used ;

1) 420D polyester oxford
2) ripstop poly cotton

is there one better then the other ?

Polyoxford is going to be more resistant to mold and mildew. Ripstop Cotton is a bit more durable. Check out www.rockywoods.com that's where I get all of my fabric for my projects. They have great customer service and sale everything. Including waterproof high end fabrics. Their awning fabric is amazing as well.

any other fabric that would be better then those I mentionned ?

from what i`ve read on the forum ,no one has an awming older then 2 years .....

id like something that would last .....cant afford to buy an awning every 3 years or so ...

A tad pricey, but the material looks quite durable with very low stretch, which is nice in the rain.
