Front recovery point - attached to the same mounting as winch???
OK, perhaps I'm being a bit paranoid here...
Just finished up mounting a Warn M8000 into a TJM bumper on my '98 Tacoma.
The front recovery point on my Tacoma is bolted to the same point on the frame as the winch bumper. In a double line situation, that point on the right side of the frame is taking a lot of load, and there are only two 12MM bolts and two 10MM bolts attaching the bumper to the frame per side. Not only are the 10MM bolts relatively small in dia, but they are going into a cheesy stamped steel bracket that attached the light weight stock bumper.
I left off the hook and am considering other options - perhaps running two sleeves thru the frame for two 1/2-20 bolts...
What say you?? Am I being overly cautious??

I don't know what to say, but God Bless America.
