When people think about a comfortable vehicle to drive around the world in, images of the Land Rover Defender, the Toyota Land Cruiser, and the Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen are summoned—but why not a Rolls-Royce? Honestly, they're not as expensive as you'd think, and no that isn't some elitist remark. This classic 1972 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow LWB is well under $10,000 and it doesn't even have 30,000 miles yet. It's been sitting in storage, but it's rust free, and should be easy to get going. If you think you're cool driving around the world in a Land Rover (I do) this would be an easy way to one-up your overlanding friends.
You can check it out here on eBay Motors. [link]

Here's what the seller has to say about the vehicle:
1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II LWB w/28k original miles. Car has been in storage since 1995 and not running since. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with the exception of stitching coming apart on the passenger seat, about 3". (see photo)
No Dents or Rust at all. Body is very straight. It appears that a shellac or lacquer was brushed over the body and would need to be buffed or sanded out.
I purchased the car from the grandson who inherited it from the original owners. This was how I took it out of the garage when I bought it. Vehicle is not currently running. Fuel pumps have been rebuilt but my wife says to sell the car so she can put her car back in the garage!!
