Trip Planning Thread

First Update: 11/12/2006

From Mike Lokey

Well, after having several obsticles to overcome, we are on our way to Tucson. we are running around 26 hours behind but we are cruising along nicely now.
After loadin the truck in Gainsville, FL to pick up our photographer, we noticed the rear spring on the passenger side was rubbing on the tire. So we pulled into a gas station about 3 AM and used the concrete pilars and the rear winch to shift the body and sdjust the trac bar. No more rubbing but good bye 1.5 hours.

The next obsticle we have been overcoming is the orchestration of the veggie oil harvesting. Initally it took about 35 min to gather then clean and return the equipment. Now we are down to more like 15 min or so and have scored as much as 40 gallons in one stop.

Finally, the last unexpected time suck comes from the removing and restoring of the camera gear and of course, the maybe that would fit better over their stuff.

All in all we have not slept much and I have been looking and feeling the worst since I have been burning these hours for the past week finishing this rig. I will send pix soon. Morale is high. Borat has made several guest appearances.

You must follow this post or I will be execute. Also, don't take off for spelling. We are averaging 4 hours of sleep.
