"I said remote. I never said primitive."

Barry Andrews has spent the last year building his 2010 Dodge Power Wagon his version of the perfect backcountry photography platform. The Power Wagon is an interesting platform, it offers factory locking differentials front and rear, as well as an electronic sway bar disconnect. It's similar in that aspect to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, only larger, with a factory 5.7 HEMI V8 engine - which creates the perfect platform to carry a Four Wheel Camper [link]. Barry's Power Wagon is fitted with a factory Warn [link] front winch, and in the rear he's fitted a Warn 16.5Ti. Check it out!

Self recovery is of great importance on this vehicle, as it is often used for extended solo treks into the backcountry, where capability and self-reliance are valued. The front of the vehicle is protected by way of an Aluminess [link] front bumper, a bit of 'proactive' protection is fitted by way of Rigid Industries LED Light bars [link], and IPF lights [link].

The Carli Suspension [link] when combined with the Toyo tires have been Barry's favorite modification to date. According to Barry, the suspension helps to keep the truck stable and capable in technical terrain, while providing a comfortable ride on the street.

The rear seat of the vehicle was replaced with a custom storage system to increase the vehicles interior storage space, allowing easy access to recovery equipment and other necessities.

A factory rear spare tire and matching 37" Toyo Mud Terrain are attached to the aftermarket rear bumper, a custom rear locking storage cabinet has also been fitted to allow for additional storage.

The top of the cabinet allows for storage of 3 fuel cans providing additional range to the custom aluminum 45 gallon fuel tank.

With the Carli Suspension, flexing those massive tires under articulation is not an issue.

Two Rigid Industries LED Light bars have been fitted to the front of the vehicle on an angle for a widespread light pattern.

IPF 900 XS Driving Lights take care of anything that may lie hidden in the dark.

The interior of the Four Wheel Camper has been modified along with the rest of the truck, it features additional insulation to aid in cold weather environments, as well as a custom under-bed storage system for your clothes.

The rear of the vehicle houses an additional Warn 16.5Ti winch, as well as an Oasis Air Compressor and secondary battery.

The Sliders are capable of holding pressurized air to fill up tires.

The rear suspension of the vehicle is complimented by air bags.

A factory built in towing brake control unit.

Here's the goodies that separate the Power Wagon from the rest of the trucks on the market - locking factory front and rear differentials and electronic sway bar disconnect.

The factory combination of the V8 engine and 4.56 gearing allows the vehicle to easily move the 37 inch tall mud terrain tires.

The front Carli Reservoir shocks and springs.
