Even though the Jeep Wrangler JK has clearly been a success, and an improvement in many ways over the previous generation TJ model, there are still some features that enthusiasts wish would have immediately carried over to the new model. Until recently, half doors weren't a factory option, so for owners of earlier JK models, they'll be glad to hear that Rugged Ridge has just offered a (relatively) affordable drop-in half door for their vehicles. At $799 for two doors, it's cheaper than the MOPAR alternative at $1210, but doesn't have the same full steel construction; instead they're made with ABS thermoplastic over a steel frame. Both options still require paint, and soft upper doors if you so desire.
The Rugged Ridge doors fit 2007-12 JK models and are available in pairs of front, or rear doors, and include locking handles, door straps, factory style hinges, and interior storage and grab handles. Mounting hardware and step-by-step instructions are also included along with a three year warranty.
