We can all agree the new Jeep Wrangler JK is a good thing, well most of us I guess, I've even called it the next Defender. Do you know what makes the JK even better? Ripping out the 3.8L mini-van engine and stuffing a 6.4L HEMI with VVT inside of it. AEV has been doing near-factory conversions for some time now, and unknown to most, actually offers a builders kit so you can do it yourself. The JK Hemi Kit varies in price depending on which engine you'd like to install, since we're playing with monopoly money here, clearly we had to go with the 525 horsepower badboy. Just the kit will set you back just over $7000 (not including the engine which will run about $15,000-18,000) but we're thinking it's totally worth it, it provides you with a completely factory looking installation including a plug and play wiring harness which allows you factory serviceability at any Chrysler and Jeep dealership. While you're at it, you might as well throw some AEV suspension on it, and hit the race track, and the trail afterwards.
