Produced from 1946-65, the Willys Wagon is arguably the world's first sport utility vehicle, but it doesn't mean that it was the best. In stock form, the vehicle was incredibly underpowered and the Wagon became a victim of technological obsolescence and was eventually replaced by the more modern and refined Wagoneer. But lately we've been seeing a revival of the Wagon, including the one for sale right here on Expedition Portal. This particular Wagon has dropped the factory drivetrain and frame altogether, and replaced it with one from a more modern early-model Jeep Cherokee. Replacing the 70ish horsepower engine that came from the factory is a powerful 360 cubic inch AMC V8, and the owner didn't just stop there, it also has Dana 44 axles front and rear for added strength. It even has air conditioning, a huge bonus for those in hot states.
