I would be lying if I said I wasn't a complete sucker for a Series I Land Rover. Actually, I'm a sucker for pretty much any Land Rover with a black badge. It's impressive how simple these vehicles are, even when compared to slightly older models such as the II and III, which are still stupid simple by modern standards. This SI had a full restoration before it got dusty sitting in an airplane hanger looking for a new home, come on, you know you want it.

You can find it here on eBay Motors! [link]

Here's what the seller has to say about this vehicle.

This is a reluctant sale of my rare 1953 Series 1 Land Rover. The thing that makes it rare is that this one came equipped with the earlier, smaller gauges instead of the standard large speedometer that is more common to this year model. The well faded, but original number plate displays the car\vin number. as well as manufacturing plant and gearing instructions. It has been restored to its original condition, all the way down to the interior. The interior and canvas top, photo of top on request, were purchased from the Land Rover company in England. They still maintain the original plans for these items and made me a special order from the original plans. It is a right hand drive and has been imported from Australia. Please follow this link and enter the serial number for an original picture and details of this rover: http://www.clifton.nl/index.html?calvin.html.
