While we know that Land Rover didn't officially name it's utility model the "Defender" until 1991, and prior to that they were referred to by their wheelbase, this 90 is pretty close. It features a 200TDI engine, which was fitted as standard in the newer model Defenders, it also appears to be in pretty decent shape with a variety of good add-ons. The best part is the sale price, for a fraction of what you'd pay for a NAS (North American Specification) Defender with a TDI engine, you could pick this model up and have plenty of money left over for a nice trip, or maybe even an expedition...
At the time of this article, the Defender was below the reserve price at $12,000, but the seller had updated the article saying anything over $14,500 would take it home.
Here's what the seller has to say about the vehicle:
Classic Green Land Rover Turbo Diesel
Vehicle runs excellent.
This is a very well kept Land Rover with frame and bulkhead in good clean condition.
The vehicle is equipped with a winch, 2" lift kit, rock guard under front, and rock sliders/step guards, sunroof, rear cab dog guard, and seat belts on the rear bench seat, and front Range Rover seats.
This Land Rover has no disappointments, has been well maintained and will make any new buyer a happy landy owner.
