Here's what the seller had to say about the vehicle:
It is my pleasure to present to you this restored
1993 Long Wheel Base Range Rover Classic in Eastnor Green
This one of a kind restoration is the perfect example of a multi use classic SUV! It has Range Rover's historic elegant appeal while retaining its off road heritage. Confidently drive it up to the mountains for a ski trip through the fresh fallen snow, or embark on that extended expedition through Baja California. Use it to live out one of your off road dreams and check it off from your bucket list. Do all that plus receive the thumbs up from envious drivers and get that front line valet parking at your local 5 star restaurant.
Our group has sold many Range Rover Classics in the $10,000 to $20,000 and even $30,000 price range. But it was our intent with this project to offer a beautiful, very unique Range Rover Classic and keep it at an affordable price. First, we wanted to start with a mechanically and structurally solid Long Wheel Base Range Rover (1993-1995). As the 9 inches in added chassis length offers additional leg room for your passengers in the back seats and has a smoother ride. Also, the 4.2 liter motor has measurably more power than the 3.9 SWB cousin. The opportunity presented itself when a customer was willing to allow us to convert this original California rust free 1993 Range Rover. What a great find as it had all the aspects we were looking for, plus a one year model Saddle Brown leather and Mediterranean Poplar wood interior. It was perfect for what we had in mind, a super clean later model Range Rover Classic with an added retro flair.
The original Ardennes Green paint allowed us to easily make a color change to Eastnor Green giving it that retro almost military appearance. After an extensive prep job including removal of most body components, our painter used a 2 stage process giving it a silky mirror finish. A head turner in town but at home in off road terrain. The original chrome bumpers were swapped with the factory black. Even the silver door handles were swapped with black units from a Discovery I. The 16" steel wheels are from a Defender 110. We sand blasted the original white paint then painted them flat black retaining the retro appearance. The tires are LT215/85R16 Bridgestone Duller AT Revo. They are 1.5" taller than the stock size tires but keeping the thinner width again retaining the retro appearance fitting perfectly with the added 1" suspension lift.
The Saddle Brown leather interior was in very good condition. With no seams tearing, intact arm rests and only minimal cracking all we had to do was saddle soap them and add some professionally color matched leather dye. The headliner was professionally replaced. The rare Mediterranean Poplar wood trim is in very nice condition.
Mechanically, this vehicle is in top condition. We have driven it nearly 400 miles during the restoration and it runs and drives like a much newer vehicle. All the vital fluids have been changed. The newer Magnaflow exhaust is aggressive but not too loud and purrs when you are cruising along the road. It has all new spark plugs, STI plug wires, and coolant hoses. One of the catalytic convertors has been replaced.
All electronics are working. Including seat switches, windows, sunroof, radio/CD changer, etc. Freon has been added to the air conditioning unit and blows cold. Heater core intact and blowing cold. A couple cool details were added including an extremely rare rear license plate frame from Range Rover Hornburg (circa 1987-1992) and Range Rover embossed fog light covers. The only items currently not operating are the cruise control and seat heaters.
This is the perfect vehicle for the enthusiast who wants to own an extraordinarily rare, custom, clean and beautiful Rover.
