As a borderline die hard Land Rover enthusiast, this is a bit hard for me to actually cough up and admit. But when you go to some of the most inhospitable environments on the planet, you'll likely see more 70 series Toyota Land Cruisers than you will Land Rover Defenders. Why? Quite frankly it's because (as my mother used to say) they're built like a brick-shithouses. Even if you tried, you'd be hard-pressed to find a vehicle that had the same stellar build quality and reputation for reliability as the 70 series does. When combined with a camper solution, it really doesn't get much better.
We know the 70 series is virtually unobtainable in North America where the majority of our viewers are based. If you have medical problems, or a loose credit card, you may not want to look at some of the coolest 70 series camper conversions we've seen to date.
