 If you're looking for a solid and reliable street bike, yet for some reason you don't want a Harley-Davidson, we might have found just the thing you're looking for. There's currently a 2000 BMW R1100R for sale right here in our own backyard on the Expedition Portal classifieds section. The R1100R shares several components with the well known GS motorcycles, except where the GS is meant to excel when the pavement gets rough (or non existent) the R is meant to accel when it just happens to get twisty. The BMW has nearly 42,000 miles, but has been serviced it's entire life, and comes with a variety of aftermarket accessories. It's a great deal at $5,000 or best offer, and the seller is looking to even trade it for a Land Cruiser, Range Rover, or Discovery.

Here's what the seller has to say about the BMW:

I am putting my 2000 BMW RR up for sale. Thinning out the herd, and she doesn't get enough ride time anymore. I have all the original manuals and books, along with service records. Bike has been serviced by certifed BMW techician at all service intervals, its 42k is coming up soon. In the past six (6) months I have replaced all the cables, brake pads, sight glass (started weeping), rear brake light switch, and brake resovoir housing. It has a new battery, and a Parrabellum Scout fairing painted to match. Also has Givi top case, BMW side cases, Bag Connection tank bag and GPS mount. Currently has Avon Storm 2's on it, tread is good, but rear tire is starting to cup slightly. They have 4.5K on them.

Asking $5,000 or best offer. (Will consider trades for 60, 70, or 80 series Landcruisers, Rangie's or Disco's)
