Having just returned from a ten day off-road expedition across the state of Colorado, Touratech-USA’s General Manager, Paul Guillien, reviews the ten essential Touratech accessories for the Yamaha Super Ténéré XT1200Z. MFOTW: Pat Across the Americas' Yamaha Tenere XT660

You're actually not looking at the motorcycle Pat McCarthy is riding from Ushuaia to Alaska, I know it's cruel to mess around with people in the United States when it comes to Yamaha's middle-weight dual sport, the Tenere XT660, but you'll have to wait for that. First I'm going to tell you a little bit about what Pat is doing, we've already established that he's riding from Ushuaia to Alaska, but why is he doing it? Along the route of his trip, Pat is attempting to raise money for UNICEF, through donations on the blog he maintains on his trip (which you can also read on Expedition Portal.) The Welshman is also doing it to have fun, naturally.
VOTD: The Yamaha Super Tenere Collection
via West County Explorers Club: Here’s a collection of videos about a bike I was excited to see released last year, Yamaha’s Super Tenere XT1200.
In this first video, a pair of Yamaha Teneres (the XT660 and the Super Tenere XT1200) take on the BMW GSs (an F800 GS and an R1200 GS Adventure). The crew from Australian Dirt Bike Magazine gives its impressions, crack jokes, and throw things on the barbie.

Spotted: Mystery Bobber, Off-road Edition?

via West County Explorers Club: I spotted this heady mix of a motorcycle in San Francisco a while back. It looks like a vaguely Japanese heart beating in the frame of cafe-racing bobber, set up with knobbies and a long swingarm for hillclimbing.
I have no idea what it is but it’s awesome—much better than the sum of its originally far-flung parts. Hats off to whoever created this crazy thing.
I salute you.
