I saw in a thread that you're importing some Bush 270XT awnings? I'm trying to connect with the Canadian contact but haven't had any luck so far so starting at looking at my other options as I'd need 2 or 3 passenger's side awning.
Good luck! You will miss the driveability for sure but it's all about your need. If i was alone i would have kept mine and modified to suit my needs but i have a family so the larger unit will be welcomed. Did you already buy your nrw one? I dont recall seing any pics of it...

Mixed feeling... sad to see it go, excited to focus on my next build.
She actually got sold in my town so I'll keep seeing her roaming around. Plus, we end up with another cool ambo owner to join us in our camping trips :)

I've received a few questions on my conversion and requests for additional pictures.
Some of the previous outside pictures were older and didn't show the new awning style windows I installed on both of the rear side doors. So here's a few pictures with the windows in place.

Maybe the last trip with my ambo? Went for a shake down run in the mountains to make sure everything worked well after doing all the engine works and she's a beast, so much power!

The GVWR sticker shows 10,700lbs although the front GAWR is 4600 and the rear GAWR is 7500 for a total of 12,100lbs. I've also beefed up the front and rear ends during the 4x4 conversion so that might come into effect as well. There's a lot of SMB heavier than...
It will save you a bunch by doing all the prep work yourself. I wasn't looking for a show quality job so I went ahead and painted it myself. I expect all the people walking on the side of the road to think my paint job looks awesome as I drive past them at 60mph :D
