I've only dealt with vans... no cab chassis.

E-series frames have plenty of flex! Park on very uneven land and the doors will rub and sometimes not open/close. And then take a look at the bumpers to body. Better yet, put one tire on a forklift, raise and watch the spaghetti wiggle. I've experienced and seen this personally.

The first had 785,075 when it retired. Second 7.3 had no issues @240k but was red and I was downsizing to an XJ. Third 7.3 is my current rig. 192k and used as my DD and home for 5+ yrs. The 05 V10 just was fantastic but served it's purpose atm.

Faux gutter mounts, a bunch of measurements to get them in place. I mounted the lights and fan. All rather easy.

My personal van... Thule rack used from CL, some aluminum right angle and three 100watt panels. It's light weight and has been trouble free for 5÷ years.
